Blender ACC plugin help

Postby chad3006 » Wed Aug 15, 2012 8:40 pm

After attempting to use the Speed Dreams ACC plugin in Blender's newest version, I read that it should be used in Blender 1.49b -- correct? Anyway, I can't figure out how to activate that plugin. I'm not at all familiar with Blender and the plugin/addon menu is very different between these two versions. Can someone help?

Long story short, I'd like to know how to convert .acc to .ac and back again.

as far as i remember (i don use blender much) there are acc-import and -export scripts available for Blender 2.4x and go into the scripts folder.
however most assets are also availabe as .ac in the svn ( http://speed-dreams.svn.sourceforge.net ... ams/trunk/ ) so the acc - importer is not really necessary and exporting to acc can be done via the sd2-accc tool

OK, on the SD 2 ACCC tool, I've located it and copied it into another directory along with STRIPE.EXE, but when I try to execute it, the Windows terminal flashes on then quits. It does it so quickly I can't read what is on the screen. I'm using Win7 and I've tried fiddling around with various compatibility settings like Win2000 ect., but to no avail.

Furthermore, I’ve got a Linux machine I’ve tried as well, after (I think) I successfully compiled STRIPE and placed it into the same directory as the tool, but there it does nothing when I try to launch.

Am I doing something wrong?

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. I needed to run it from the terminal the old fashioned way by typing in the executable path and so forth.
