Logitech Gamepad F310

Postby Paulo » Fri Oct 19, 2012 2:34 pm

Hello
Firstly I apologize for my bad English.
I'm trying to play SD with Logitech F310 gamepad (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/co ... mepad-f310). All commands work fine, except the left/right steer.
In the gamepad steer is led by axis7 (AXIS6-0 - analog triger bellow button button -), but the direction does not have an analog behavior: turn the steering fully to the left or right side.
In the file ../drivers/human/preferences.xml the direction setting is:
<attnum name="steer sensitivity" val="0.00"/>
<attnum name="steer dead zone" val="0"/>
<attstr name="left steer" val="AXIS6-0"/>
<attnum name="left steer min" val="0"/>
<attnum name="left steer max" val="-1"/>
<attnum name="left steer power" val="-1"/>
<attstr name="right steer" val="AXIS6-0"/>
<attnum name="right steer min" val="0"/>
<attnum name="right steer max" val="1"/>
<attnum name="right steer power" val="1"/>

I made some changes, including viewtopic.php?f=3&t=116&p=485&hilit=gamepad#p485, but without any result.

How do I to make ana analogic steering? This way it is impossible to drive some cars on certain tracks...
Thanks
Paulo

Try using a very low sensitivity value in the Controls menu. Eckhard, one of the slower drivers on the development team, uses a value of 0.15 for his Logitech Dual Action gamepad, which also works for my Playstation 3 controller (similar design specifications).

Also, check if there's some sort of 'mode' button which is causing your analog stick to be read like buttons rather than an analog axis. If it is 'on', turn it 'off', or vice-verse.
