Can i add/(re)move objects into a track ?

Postby Adgenodux » Sun Jun 08, 2014 11:47 am

Hi all,

Is it possible to add objects (trees, cars in parkings, advertisement boards,...) or (re)moving one into a track ?

Thanks

In terms of the simulation, _all_ the graphics are eye candy. The simulation is based on the track 'xml' file and the cars don't interact with the graphical world.

So when designing the track, the artists do exactly what you are asking. 'Trackgen' will render a very basic track, which is then given the 'high quality' touch. All the extra elements are added to the track's scene, using Blender or the like.

There are a few tutorials on how to make a track, the same details apply to 'tweaking' it too.
