[SOLVED] Logitech Wheel no longer working

Postby rlovi » Tue Apr 12, 2016 10:53 pm

Hi,

I upgraded to version 2.2 on an Ubuntu machine and now my Logitech wheel is no longer recognized. It seems all I have is keyboard and mouse. The wheel is a Logitech Rally for Playstation 2 though I was using a Playstation 2 to USB adapter and it worked fine in the previous version. Anyone have an idea what is wrong? Thanks.

Hi rlovi,
You can try building with SDL2 disabled.
Add this to your CMake command.
Code: Select all
-D OPTION_SDL2:BOOL=OFF

Hi MiniJoe,

I don't run a development Ubuntu system (Ubuntu Studio 14.04 64bit) and thus would need to download all the required development libraries. Could anyone build me an executable with SDL2 disabled and post it? Or is there another way to disable SDL2 via a command line option? Thanks.

BTW, what wheels are currently supported in version 2.2?

OK, so I did this after an exhausting search for all the development files. Now my steering wheel shows up for steering though none of the buttons nor the brake and gas pedal function. When I go to the calibration screen I'm only given the option to calibrate a mouse. Any ideas?

OK, I added one more option:

Code: Select all
-D OPTION_SDL_JOYSTICK:BOOL=OFF

And now my wheel works as it did in the older version.

Update:
After more experimentation I discovered that the wheel is more stable with just the above cmake option. At least I'm getting more experience building this game from scratch... I can practically do it in my sleep.
