I have background in simulator car creation and I always prefer to work with real data.
I had a look of Boxer 96 car's xml that is in base package, also I did look Lynx 220 file, what I found out is that for example springs are set to 1400 range and both cars look very identical in terms of suspension setup.
Now of course I'm curious about reasons why it is so and bit curious would you like to get Boxer made from real data?
Before I tweaked, car felt like it would ride on iron bars instead of springs, with changed values it works much better, not so horribly understeering either, but I find that there is quite loud sound of bottoming out, is this reason why cars are set so stiff?
From my understanding such car does hit bumpstops quite frequently, not sure if I should set more packers or if bottoming out sound should be changed, but certainly car is much more natural to drive. I'm using wheel to drive.
Usually there is perfectly good reason why certain values have been chosen, but sometimes it is bit difficult to know why such values have been chosen, so I thought I ask here.
There are still few issues I need to work out from car's suspension setup, I can then upload it someplace so you can say what you think about my changes and if you then need more of such or not.
