What is the best way to edit car models? When I tried to remove the spoiler from the bavaria g3 gtr in the .ac file using blender, the game just crashed. I changed the .xml file to load the model from the .ac, as I don't know how to convert to .acc. When i try to run accc nothing happens
Thanks

I'm a little short on time, but I think there are a couple of posts here in the forum on the usage of the sd2-accc.exe included in SD. You first have to get a compiled version of stripe. There is a tutorial on creating a TORCS car which still pretty much goes through the procedures too.
found this one for stripe:
and here's this

I forgot to mention that sd2-accc should be run from a command prompt or terminal.

I can run sd2-accc from the terminal no problem, and it converts the model, but at the end it says 'can't open bmwm3.acc', and doesnt create a .acc file. I'm probably missing something really obvious here...

You have to have permissions to read and write to the folders in question and sometimes you have to use the entire file path. The long story is, in Windows I've copied the sd2-accc.exe and stripe.exe to a separate working folder and I put the .ac file within that folder to convert (don't have to use full filepath.) In Linux I changed ownership of the entire SD folder(s) so my username has permissions, then in the terminal I use the entire filepath along with the .ac's filename. Oh yeah, and in Linux the compiled stripe.sh goes in a particular location which I forget at the moment ... ah there it is, for ubuntu based it goes in the usr/local/bin directory.
