Hi tom, here are the files for the hi lance, I guess I had to apply only one texture this time as there was only one. If you don't have more than one texture, it is no problem if you have there are multiple objects as there is no possible confusion, troubles start at 2 tex

There is a way to make this without ac3d, but it isn't very sexy. All you need to do is to have notepad++ (or whatever similar that has a search function) and edit the file "by hand". It is pretty easy, if i take the hi lance file for example, here is how it starts:
- Code: Select all
MATERIAL "stratosmat1" rgb 0.8 0.8 0.8 amb 1 1 1 emis 0 0 0 spec 0.5 0.5 0.5 shi 50 trans 0
loc 0 -0.0278552 -2e-007
All you need to do is search for the OBJECT words inside the file, if it says "OBJECT poly" it means the following lines will describe one object (easy right
). To find the name of the object well look the line underneith which says... "name" to know which object your going to edit. And then all you need to do is add the line "texture "hi-lance-atmos.png" " under the "loc..." indication. Do that with every object (use the search for next instance function to find all objects) and you're done. This was the way I used in the past. The only thing is that you better do that in a copy of your .ac file.
I know it isn't the most sexy thing but still it gives you more freedom.
Have a good night.
