Track Request/Suggestion - Frozen Lake

Postby mungewell » Sat Jan 14, 2012 7:20 pm

Driving past Chain-Lakes (Alberta) on my way home yesterday made me think of this:

Ferdinand Winterchallenge, in Norway where they plow out a track on a frozen lake and have fun.

Should be fairly easy to knock up a flat track on ice, I can possibly even grab some panaromic photos from the middle of Chain-Lakes.... comments?

would be great, make it wide or make the whole lake the run off area so we have a chance of holding the drift.

It's been fairly mild so far, but winter is kicking in this week (with lows of -30'C) and the lake should freeze up nicely....

Given that it's a long narrow lake, what would the best strategory for taking photos for backgrounds/skydomes? A series of panaromic at a number of locations?
