late answer on that...
I have planned for the future that the game sends the best time laps and a ranking system (track / car / weather / race type, etc ...) by sql and verified by the server non-changes (tracks, category , cars) but it is on it will be very difficult to prevent cheating.

It's the same work that rework host config and client config network page ... network will be included in SD 2.1 in WIP, in the next version I would added a webhosted for find all server games IP in the world.
I can't say when these function will be implemented in SD, I love in SD 2.2 but not sure (it will include a new dependence ... yet ... CURL) and as we took many time delay for SD 2.1 for the moment I can't work on this.

Just to clarify on my previous post:

record lap time on webhosting will be possible just with official tracks/category/cars.

I feel I can still lower it down a bit but I'm not sure if I will be able to catch you anyway. :oops:

I know these won't hold water beyond the time they are posted as I'm certain I could shave tenths or even whole seconds but it's the sense of multiplayer I seek and the notion that a best lap of ANY caliber (and in this case just a late night fun session) should not live in a vacuum. Lol. Just gives us further excuses to drive!

In a 10 lap race (once I got the breaking zones and turn speeds dialed in for the gp36's), about the only lap I remained on the tarmac for it's entirety...well for the most part. Honestly, had best two sections before bamboozled by AI tap sending me onto the veggies and eventually spinning.

Heads up. M35 understeers plenty but fun to drive especially when you run the outer rumbles perfectly.
