Just got myself a 05' Legacy GT (!!) to plan for the Forester not lasting much longer, however it's a bit nice to use as a 'winter beater' so I might keep the Forester around a bit longer (if my wife will let me).

Needs a few minor fixes, but believed to be OK at heart.

Well they say these things happen in 3's....

first the Forester broke a drive shaft

then I found metal flakes in the Legacy's oil pan, most likely a spun bearing so started to pull the motor at the weekend

and then last night the alternator in my wife's Jeep failed. Makes me an unhappy bunny :-(
