It's very simple. All that you need to do is change the category in the .xml file to an existing category, or just create a historic category(or even just copy it from torcs)

So the cars work straight out of the box, no tinkering is needed (beyond the category change that is)?

Yeah, it worked for me. Btw, there are more historic cars on the torcs website. I couldn't get them to work at first.What I did was copy the xml file from another car and place it in the folder for the car ( say the gullwing). Open this xml file and the gullwing's xml file. select everything in the gullwing's xml and then copy it. Next, go into the other xml file and select everything, then press paste and save. close the xml files, and then delete the original gullwing.xml. then, rename the other xml file so it has the same name as the car folder ( in this case gullwing.xml), and it should run .

Got some good news from the doctor yesterday -- barring any unforseen accidents, etc., I'm probably going to live for several more years, maybe even 10!
