I'm sure that you've all noticed that someone (or some company) has decided that posting about their favorite squirrel is going to make them money. It's likely that they're not hoping that our readers are going to buy a new squirrel, but expecting that they can raise the 'Google rating' of the company by the fact that Google indexes our postings and sees lots of mentions....
I've been banning the user accounts and deleting the postings, which isn't a huge headache but also does not serve to discourage the activity as the posts are most likely already indexed by the time I see them.
The 'banning rate' for the past couple of months is shown in attached plot.

I would be 'better' if we could prevent the posts from the get-go... any suggestions?
