Online race

Hello everybody.
The change log says that online race is out for beta one of Speed Dreams. Is there any possibility that it will be implemented in the final release? I undestand it's difficult to build such a feature, but it was great and promising...

We'd love to have the feature, however the code base was quite out of date and had significant problems. With no-one coming forward to work on it we decided that it was better to drop from 2.0.

That said, it will probably make a come back post 2.0....

PS. There is the multi-player mode (split screen), so if you can get your friends to come around you can still race.

Try enabling threading and reducing the number of smokes and skids to a very low number (4 works for me). This improved performace for me on similar harware, but I am still limited to about 6 cars per race, and some tracks (like Forza) are still unplayable. Another option is to disable the sky dome (set distance to zero). SD will look like TORCS but the rendering performance is better.
